Delivery

We rely on a third party for all our deliveries and therefore are unable to guarantee delivery dates. Occasionally during busy periods there can be delays which are beyond our control but we will inform customers of any issues that we are aware of.

Delivery Services

Our parcels are distributed through a shipping management company called Despatch Bay. As both our services are tracked you will receive emails from both Despatch Bay and either Royal Mail or Parcelforce regarding the progress of your delivery.

All orders received by 12pm Monday to Friday will be dispatched the same day, any orders received after this time will be processed and dispatched the following working day (excluding bank holidays).

We do not dispatch orders Saturday, Sunday or bank holidays.

Unfortunately we are unable to leave instructions with Royal Mail or ParcelForce with regard to leaving items with a neighbour or in a safe place.

Currently we only deliver within the UK, Isle of Man and Channel Islands.

Standard delivery

Orders placed by 12pm will be dispatched the same day with Royal Mail on a tracked service. The delivery aim of this service is 2-5 days and is available for all addresses within the UK, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight and Channel Islands.

If no-one is home to receive the parcel and no safe place is available then it will either be left with a neighbour or returned to the local sorting office where it can be collected.

Please note that heavier parcels sent with our Standard delivery option may be sent with ParcelForce on a 48 hour service and will require a signature.

Next day delivery

Orders placed by 12pm will be dispatched the same day with ParcelForce Express, a signature is required for this service. If no one is available to receive the parcel then it may be left with a neighbour or returned to the local post office or sorting office.

This service is only available for mainland UK addresses excluding the Scottish Highlands. The following postcodes are classed by ParcelForce as being within the Scottish Highlands area.

IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-44, PH49-50, ZE

If next day delivery is selected for any postcode not covered by this service then parcels will instead be dispatched with our standard delivery service with the extra £2 postage charge refunded.

A timed next day delivery service is available for an extra charge as set out below, please note this is additional to the £5.95 Next day delivery charge.

To ensure prompt delivery please make sure you enter the correct address and post code when placing your order, Friars cannot be held responsible for late or failed delivery if the address or post code are entered incorrectly.
